As an NES employee you will receive rigorous training in the classroom and in the field, this doesn’t end after you start either, you will receive continuous training and support from our Regional Supervisors as well as a monthly newsletter that will contain updated information you need to do your job. We also communicate with you through our website and our Facebook page, always look for updates and safety topics that pertain to you!

Successful candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time & work in all kinds of weather. In addition candidates must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel in their own county and surrounding counties. Training

Our training program starts in the classroom with a day of learning MDOT and MUTCD rules and regulations as well as how NES operates on a daily basis. There is a lot of information shared with new employees through the course of this training, there will also be follow up field training done by our Field Support Personnel.

Training is a continuous effort by all of our staff. We will evaluate your work zones and you’re PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on occasion to ensure your safety, your crew’s safety and the safety of the motoring public.

Some of the topics you can expect to learn about are flagging operations, practical work zone setups, lane closures and complex setups as well as communication with our team members, clients and the motoring public.
